Meaningful Futures

Meaningful Futures is a social initiative bringing together young people, changemakers, businesses and community organisations to explore the social and environmental challenges shaping their communities.

The programme gives 16–18-year-old students the opportunity to work alongside organisations already creating positive change, exploring themes including sustainability, social justice, systems thinking and meaningful employment.

I produced, directed and edited a short documentary-style film capturing the energy and ideas behind the programme. Filmed across two fast-paced workshop days, the project involved capturing interviews and conversations with students, educators and changemakers.

The edit became an important part of the storytelling process. With hours of interview footage to work through, the challenge was to find the connections between different voices and perspectives, shaping them into a concise narrative that reflected the optimism, collaboration and ambition at the heart of Meaningful Futures.

The final film was created to help communicate the programme's vision and support its future growth.
